Empathy for Peace promotes empathy research and education with a focus on continuous interaction between researchers and practitioners to advance fair, just and peaceful communities. Empathy for Peace is a Canadian non-profit with global reach.
We have convened an Empathy Conference, most recently held in Rome in 2017. Our current flagship project is the Emile Bruneau Empathy Fund. We aim to re-launch the Empathy Conference, to expand the Empathy Fund and also to introduce additional programs and projects.
We are looking to add four members to our Voluntary Board of Directors. All directors are expected to attend regular quarterly meetings (in-person or remotely), and to spend additional time on Committee work. All directors should demonstrate a commitment to conflict resolution and community building through empathy.
You can expect to be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team that works together to create impact in a field that deserves more attention. We are both learners and doers, open to new ideas and experimentation. This is a pivotal moment in the history of Empathy for Peace, as we seek to grow our resources and our impact.
We are seeking to fill the following roles and requirements:
Secretary
Treasurer
Chair, Fundraising and Development Committee
Chair, Outreach and Communications Committee
Candidates are asked to send a cover letter and resume to [email protected] by May 24, 2022. Please state the role in the subject line of your email.
